• Once a payment is successfully processed, it is considered final unless specified otherwise in this policy.

3. Eligibility for Refunds

A refund request may be considered in the following cases:

• Duplicate Payment: If a user has mistakenly made multiple payments for the same service.
• Excess Payment: If the amount paid exceeds the required fee for a particular service.
• Transaction Failure: If a payment was deducted from the user’s account, but the transaction failed, and the service was not provided.
• Service Unavailability: If the requested service is not available or cannot be delivered by Bongaon Municipality.

4. Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund, the applicant must:

1. Submit a written request via email to bongaonsi@gmail.com or visit the municipal office in person.
2. Provide the following details:
   • Payment receipt or transaction ID
   • Name and contact details of the applicant
   • Reason for the refund request
   • Any supporting documents (if applicable)
3. Refund requests must be submitted within 5 days from the date of transaction.

5. Refund Processing

• Refunds will be processed after verification of the claim. The verification process may take 5 business days.
• Once approved, the refund amount will be credited back to the original payment method within 5 days.

6. Non-Refundable Payments

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

• Payments made for successfully availed municipal services.
• Delays caused by technical issues unrelated to Bongaon Municipality’s payment gateway.
• Incorrect details provided by the payer.
• Any other circumstances not explicitly covered under the eligibility criteria.
